I fail to see it. While I vehemently hate Apple for what they (like Microsoft of past) have done to the tech sector with stagnation etc. (check their R&D spending).
Despite this, an upfront cost of say ~500$ per student @ 20 students in a class is a 10,000$ investment. Compared to a median 80$ per textbook x 4 (I think it's reasonable) we're at 340$. Total: 6,800$.
Lifetime of these products ~10 years if cared for. I went to a public school and you were lucky to have a textbook in "good" condition PAST the 4-5 year mark. I feel people would take better care of the iPad. Not only that, but a digital copy of the textbook each year, is far better then old outdated books. Plus what can be done and taught on digital media is far superior to paper.
Are you fucking kidding me?

I'm sorry but you're either stupid - OR - uninformed. Pay like that for post-university, post-college jobs, is fair. The notion of a ridiculous pension is bologna, it's the least of worries and helps bolster the middle class. Trimming the fat from those who are average doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
Aside: most unions don't collect their pensions from the government (typically), unions collect dues and invest these fees into businesses, investor groups, etc. All of these investments pay dividends and that's where the pension comes from.
See the Ontario Teacher's Union owning, and subsequently selling the Toronto Maple Leafs for huge $$$ - enough to cover every teacher times over. This subsequently leads to the issues 'Merica is having with money being pooled and unavailable to the middle class. Even though it's their money, they aren't the ones profiting the most.

I don't know if you've ever tried downhill longboarding (anyone), but sliding without grabbing your board is pretty damn difficult to learn. What he did by controlling his slide that way takes ridiculous strength. Remember: he's supporting himself on four slippery pads, try doing a running dive into pushup position on an ice rink - that's about what I can compare it to.

Can We Legalize it Already?

Fact check time! (Hey, if the candidates can do it, why can't we?)
"As someone whose wife is a doctor" - I cannot reject this as false, why would you lie? Is it relevant? Simply put, yes actually - your wife has the potential to get high payouts from pharma to stick to wiritng scripts for specific brands.
"One because it is toxic" - See definition of toxic > "Toxicity is the degree to which a substance can damage an organism." Marijuana is in no way, shape, or form "toxic." In it's natural form, it can be consumed with no measureable toxic effects. In future, argue Marijuana smoke is toxic.
"robberies have gone up two fold for pain meds and six fold in areas that sell medical marijuana." I was unable to verify this claim with any evidence. I was able to find information regarding huge issues with prescription pain killers (read opiates, etc.) and addiction on the rise (read physical addiction) Source. Again, I couldn't verify your claim of a 600% net increase in robbery for MM states or areas. If there were (I'm not saying there isn't, just saying I haven't found proof) this 600% increase, it would be robberies related to drugs (theft of MM) and not as a result (lazy stoner, blah blah). If MM were legal there wouldn't be near the size of black market distributors to sell stolen marijuana to - why steal when anyone can produce?
"There is no good reason to put another addiction on the streets, alcohol and tobacco are awful enough." Marijuana is a completely different animal, why don't we just lump video games and eating in there as addictions (with your logic)? See this chart for users. See this chart for an overview of "addictiveness" relative to other substances. This last bit is anecdotal evidence, and may not back up my claims - As a regular user of said substance, I can say that stopping smoking is a non-issue. I can and have gone from smoking heavily all day for an extended period of time, to a cold turkey quit and no negative effects. After maintaining sobriety for extended periods of time I always relapse.
So you think you've got me as an addict then, huh? Wrong, I quit when I don't have a disposable income, just as people stop going to the movies, concerts, eating steak, etc. when financial times are tough. It's a past time.
