PBR is def a hipster thing. Rednecks drink anything that has the word "natural" in it.
You'd be surprised by the ratio of Rednecks to Hipsters that buy PBR from me on a daily basis. Very much a hipster thing.
It used to be a redneck thing. Rednecks drank PBR before it was cool.
PBR is still a southern favorite. I didn't even know drinking PBR was supposed to be a "hipster" thing till I saw it on the net. We don't tend to have alot of those guys down here.
Really, why is PBR supposed to be a hipster thing? Only thing I know about PBR besides it being one of the few decent "corporate domestics" is that it is the only union made product I like. (Workers union, not damnyankees union)
What was that you were saying?
oh yeah.. cause south park is totally the voice of reason in our society haha.
It is in my society, and my society is better than your shitty one!
Also my hipster-like friends drink Heady Topper and my redneck-like cousins drink PBR.
Never thought I would live to see the day someone would argue that South Park is something to actually model after or listen to. haha.
and I was going to say "Heady Topper, I havent heard of that..." but then I realized what that meant... Well played....
Uh.. Heady Topper is an actual beer, lol.
What did you think it meant?
All the places I have seen Hipsters congregate i've seen them drink DBR, and all the dives the rednecks I see congregate they just drink Shiner...but I live in Texas so wtf do I know, I just visit Cleveland yearly in the most hipster areas to visit my vegan family who drink PBR
Good for you. I'm glad you had those experiences. But, I didn't realize that meant that every single hipster and every single redneck drink the same thing. What an amazing discovery, thanks for sharing.
what I meant by that is the joke that hipsters always says "oh I enjoy this, but you probably have never heard of it, its too underground (or insert any other obnoxious adjective for a hipster here) and so I was going to walk into the trap by saying I had never heard of that beer.
Hipsters with good taste in beer? Impossibru!
Rednecks drink PBR here. All the time. The only one I know of that even likes "Natural" in their beer is Raphaell.
I guess it is all about difference in place. Cause where I am, it is alot easier (and cheaper) to buy tons of natural light or Natural Ice than it is for PBR. So although PBR is another cheap beer, if people are drinking it they are thought of as hipsters for trying to break the status quo of natural beers. haha.
But on this memorial day. Who really cares. Beer is beer. 'Merica
Wait... Is that Jared Leto?
