After being a Gamer for over a decade, people like this annoy Me.
After being a person who's been ridiculed most my life for my "nerdy" likes (including gaming), anything like this annoys me.
Yes im the same. Though ive never been ridiculed... Probably because im not a very social person. Or in real life at the very least... On the Internet im accepted as who i am. This explains why i have no Friends in real life xD
At school I was bullied because of it. It annoys me that the girls who bullied me now say it's cool and that I'm the poser as I'm just trying to be cool.

Thank you! Same thing happened to me. They grew up rich too so once they stared thinking nerdy stuff was cool they bought Shit I couldn't and acted like I was a poser for not having it
It's incredibly annoying. Again, I wouldn't care if they were actual fans, but to like something just because it's cool is just sad. If they legitimately like it, fair enough.

Video games never really came up at all in school any year. Not until high school and then again it didn't really happen at all. The one girl in my homeroom (stuck with her all four years) would always talk to the boys about CoD and be like "YEAH MY GAMERTAG IS BLAHBLAHBLAH ADD ME DID YOU DOWNLOAD THE NEW MAPS YEAH THEY'RE AWESOME I LIKE THIS ONE GUN" making sure the whole room heard her 'YEAH I'M A COOL CHICK, I'M ONE OF THE GUYS LOOL' drivel.
It was generally seen as "uncool" with the girls in my school. Girls shouldn't like video games.
The guys were like "... what kinda games do you play?"
I belive any girl who says "oh im a gamer girl! DYGIUHUIBEODBDUGODBI" is being a fucking hypocrite, why should it fucking matter, if you were truly in to games for the sake of fun, you dont need to advertise it >.< god fucking dammit.
You know, I don't see how being a girl even ties into it. Why call yourself a 'gamer girl?' I don't really feel like 'gamer' is a good word for it. I play about .. (I'm kind of ashamed of this) 60+ hours a week, but I don't feel like a 'gamer.'
i know! just because your a girl doesnt, and should mean anythintg, you just simply enjoy playing games ^_^ and dont be ashamed! flaunt your skills! im at least on youtube 60 hours a week, im addicted, if youve heard of it ive seen it, thats my mantra when it comes to the youtubez XD
