Woh Italy is pretty badass

That's not what their police cars actually look like, that's just a one off.

They were given a sports car by the company to help with high speed chases (this is why London police have a Lexus).

Buuuut, they wrecked it.

To be fair, someone crashed into them and not the other way round, but it's still funny shit.

Really? Well that makes it significantly less funny.

It'd also be a terrible vehicle for reliability and everyday use. I know someone that had a Ferrari, after 500 miles it needed a full service and new cam belts. I can't imagine this being any better.

It for high speed pursuits, not for everyday use :3

To be honest... I can't see any pursuit at those speeds being at all safe. No matter how the officers are trained, having multiple cars going at super high speeds is just asking for trouble. Be better letting the guys have some space and let them slow down in their own time.

I don't see the point when they have helicopters. They can't escape them easily so... Yeah.

Indeed. I'd be more worried about a helicopter chasing me, but if I'm trying to evade the police then racing a supercar just sounds like a challenge or something people might find fun.

Frankly, the Porsche scares me the most. It's the best combination of performance and robustness, plus the guy driving it was probably born of a fuel injector.

In Mexico it's a pick up truck, and no one wants to drive because they all want to ride in the back. Good times!

In Raleigh, we put bicycle cops in downtown. A good idea, until they realized that putting donut-addled 400lb men who had last ridden a bicycle in middle school among traffic and the like was a bad idea. Two cops got severely injured when they fell off their bikes and onto cars.
