Haha well, my Mom is so good with comuters, she can fix mac problems, which are practically impossible to fix.

you dont "fix" a mac you buy a new one and they transfer your files.

Haha, well, she's had the same one for 5 years and every time it breaks she fixes it herself. It takes a smart person to keep a mac. A dumb person to buy one.

but to do something as simple as add ram you pretty much have to break it

I added Ram to my imac just 2 months ago. It works even better than before.

If you don't have a mac you probably shouldn't make opinions of them based on internet comments. Macs are only for smart people, because they're really difficult to handle. But mostly dumb people buy them for their fancy look and to show off, and that's why so many people have problems with them

we do have a mac and i absolutly hate it because a mac is not for smart people it has been dumbed down to be as user friendly as possible taking away a large portion of a PC's custumizibility and control of the system itself, the files, where things are stored, how things are read, you cant be a mac gamer unless you partition it and get windows, whenever you back up a device it saves the files in god knows where, you cannot modify key system files to your liking, you can not access the registry, there is no command prompt ( something that I actually still use), they are unreasonably priced, their parts are unreasonably priced, they do not come loaded with the ability to view PDFs, cannot easily convert file types, can not easily read most video or audio file types, cannot alter the primary monitor, or add large amount of monitors with ease, contiunely makes shape changes to UNIVERSAL Service Bus (USB) making it not so universal, lacks the ability to write scripts, ect.

Well, my Mom never has any problems with her Mac. Did you ever bother to read the manual that came with it? I have problems with mine every now and then but it gets fixed. The files can easily be saved into a certain folder. And I don't need to do most of those things with mine. Downloading windows isn't that big of a deal. I play WoW with mine and it works great. Macs are for people who are willing to take the time to learn how to use them. They are overpriced, but if you can figure out how to keep it for 5+ years like my Mom has, then it's no problem.

there is a differance between don't need to and don't know how and keeping a computer for 5+ is exceptional for a mac most only last 2 or 3, but I still have a PC i built in the late 90s I have upgraded Ram, power supply, hard drive, operating system, graphics card, i even replaced the motherboard at one point, none of these purchaces cost very much not even the motherboard, much less then a new computer and it still runs as good as any other, the reason people suck at pc is they dont know how to keep it 100% malware free, also nobody but you ever said macs are for smart people they say things like "its so easy" or "it just works" and when you have that much simplisity you take away the user's true control

PC is better, yes, but I like my Mac. PC's are good for a lot more but Macs aren't all that bad. They just take a lot of patience and no one likes to be. Frankly, I'm not patient with it. Why else do you think I make my Mom fix it? She's the only patient person I know.

i am not patient either thats why if i have any kind of issue with my computer i dont want to take it to a store so some guy with the special screwdriver who makes $8 an hour can crack it open and pretend like he knows what he is doing, just so he can order new parts and the mark them up so the store makes a profit. I would rater be able to figgure out the problem with the tools i have at hand and order parts if needed on my own and fix it right then and there...... guess thats why im an engineer in the heat treating business huh

Yeah. my mom is the only person who can fix a mac. She should start charging for it

then you would have 2 options pay to get it fixed or buy a new one, the price is the same for both choices

I don't think she would charge all that much you know. Maybe $50?

Yeah she mostly deals with the internal errors with the software. Once your Mac is damged, you have to buy a new one. Sucks like that

they are moving away from this

in favor of this

so they can make us buy this

the fact the above product exists shows how subbornly incompadable they are that they dont even want to put an ethernet port on their macs
