Actually, belt loops don't hold up the belt. They're there to make sure the trousers stay up too, otherwise the trousers head south and the belt stays where it is

With belt loops?

I know it's fact. On my work trousers (supplied by work) one of the belt loops had snapped. Now, cause they go up in 10 cms, I'm in-between sizes and have to wear the larger size thus need to use the work supplied belt.

That one place where the belt loop was not meant that that area of the trousers slid down but the belt stayed in the same place. Conclusion; belt loops makes sure the trousers stay in place so the belt can tighten them to hold them up.

I laugh then analyse it.

Sorry, we had to do it in English.

Word of advice, never take a subject that gets you to analyse stuff you like, it makes if very difficult to enjoy it.

So I should try to "analyse" all the material I hear from comics? My brain is going to hurt..

Fortunately, we did not cover comic books in English so I am free to read them.

And play video games.

But any TV programme, film, book or comedic joke I have an issue with lol
