I want to meet the designer who chose that color and shake his hand.

Also, the color dial is from Paint.NET, which I also use, so kudos to the image maker, too.

Every time peta makes a protest or makes silly billboards, I make sure I cook myself a large steak.

We, as humans, must feed on that which has died in order to maintain ourselves. Whether it be plants or animals, all of it was once living, thus all of it has the parts for us to reconstruct our bodies on a cellular level constantly.

I just prefer to use the ones that don't turn CO2 into oxygen.

Tons of unfriendly gasses are released (methane I think, mostly) from cow poo. Eating cows helps save the environment.

didnt they do a great job explaining this in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood?

All is one, and one is all

They meant it differently, but yes.

no i ment when Ed and Al were on that island and they were hungry and figgured out why they needed to kill and eat the rabbits to survive.

I'm pretty sure they used the word reconstruct as well

In that situation, we were along the same lines, though they projected it to a bigger idea.

To be fair, PETA isn't about being a vegetarian, it's about the ethical treatment of animals all around. You know, trying to do away with fur farms, animal testing, dog fighting, etc. I'm a total meat eater, but I still think there's a way to treat the animals we consume with respect.

Okay, off my soap box again!

PETA is notably over-concerned and as easy to offend as the NAACP.

Also they aren't above stepping all over humans to protect animals in even the most superficial way.

Probably easier to offend than the NAACP

PETA is a psycho organization that is trying to shut down animal research facilities. It pretends like it's only trying to protect animals from abuse (and who isn't for that??), but what they really want are equal rights for animals and humans. They refer to it as the next civil rights movement. They are insane! They break into animal research facilities and release all the animals into the street. Then most of the poor animals die of starvation, being hit by cars, or just by being eaten by other animals.

I work in animal research. Currently, I study pediatric medullablastoma which is the number one solid pediatric brain tumor. PETA makes our lives hell! I work with mice. We treat our mice extremely well. For example, they get 16 puffs of fresh air every minute in their cage. We feed them a consistent vet approved diet. We check their cages every day to make sure they are comfortable. They're treated better than me! These are the same kind of mice that people are killing with poison in their homes.

PETA has told researchers on numerous occasions that they would rather see 6 year olds die from things like medullablastomas than have mice sacrificed for scientific research. They're nut jobs!

No offense, most people just don't know how crazy this group is. All I want to do is find a cure for cancer so a bunch of little children don't have to die or continue living with severe disabilities, and I have to worry about someone attacking me on the way to work for doing it. It just hits a nerve with me. Sorry for the rant.

BEEEEF is more to the teal side of the color spectrum, that post is fake. I tested it with both the image above and directly from their Twitter page.

See, I'm all for the ethical treatment of animals.

But leave my meat alone.

You can't have both, ideally.

Ethical treatment of animals would include not killing them for human consumption. We can never be carnivores and treat animals ethically.

If we could, it would be ideal, and ideal is not reachable in this situation.

But there is such thing as moderation. Just because we don't treat animals as equals doesn't mean we should relish in their suffering.

What I mean is that you don't have to have animals that are for slaughter cooped up in small spaces etc. I'm for free-roaming animals :3

...I think they have a good message. Some of the ways animals are treated are horrible. But the fact that they use terrorism to spread their message just makes them look insane.

Have you seen the average animal rights activist? Smelly, unwashed hippy types, that sponge on welfare, make no real contributions to society, but spout rhetoric at people on how to live thier lives. Lets start eating hippies instead. They are usually vegetable and herb fed, and freerange. Problem solved.
