i fucking hate this show
btw it's not because I don't get the jokes, it's just the jokes aren't funny.
This show isn't for nerds. It's a show about nerds for idiots to watch and laugh at nerds for being nerds. No actual nerd enjoys the show because it's nothing but repetitive, unfunny stereotypes we've heard our entire lives.
I disagree.
I'm a pretty big math and science nerd, a music nerd, a gamer, as well as a bit of a lit nerd and I really enjoy this show. Yes there are some serious geek stereotypes but the reason they are stereotypes is because there really ARE people like that and it's the job of the entertainment industry to exaggerate in order to entertain. At it's heart BBT is a SITCOM that happens to be based on nerds. If that's not your type of show that's fine, but you can't assume that no "actual" nerds watch and enjoy it. Also, I highly doubt "idiots" as you call them (a.k.a. People who aren't nerds... doesn't mean they're not smart) who don't feed into the geek culture would watch the show.
Looks like some people have never been to college/academic setting, or have been all "Come at me Bro!" all their life.
No one said you were dumb. And your percentile in what? English, Math, Deductive Reasoning skills, IQ?
Online IQ tests aren't accurate by any means. They are far easier than a true IQ test, because they aren't as good as capitalizing on testing the person's ability to recognize patterns and think spatially. There are only a handful of true IQ tests, and they require you to pay to take them through private services, which can be quite expensive. If you believe the internet, my IQ is anywhere from 175 to 195.
So billybobthorton you haven't been in an academic setting like it and you're 16. Makes sense that you don't like the show.
This show is hilarious. If you don't laugh at this show you're just not getting the references.
