At "junior high" school, we all got panicky cause an ickle duckling fell down a storm drain. We got a teacher, teacher got the caretaker, caretaker called the road department and the duckling was saved! Mother duck then happily waddled off with her ducklings, over a curb which the ducklings couldn't get over and left them.
Teacher's comment: "Sometimes mothers are careless... But that's just a bad mother..."
Ah! The caring minority.
