Not really...the punishment fit the crime IMO. Nothing cruel or unusual about that.
Right, but it's still pretty brutal. I just hope they only do this to cop killers and dog killers.
why are cop killers so much worse than killers i never understood that. cop gets killed everyone talks about it and everyone is looking for him, shot 68 times no one cares. murder an ordinary civilian and it's no where near as sever to people... why?
While I'm sure you would love that, under no consequences are cruel and unusual punishments justifiable.

A team of Swat offeicers had 68 bullets? That's only like, 2 machine guns..

I don't see how this is in any way cruel. I can see the unusual part, but it isn't necessarily a bad thing. I mean, shooting a guy 68 times is going to have the same effect as shooting him 1 time (depending on where it hit).
The only difference is now he won't be able to have an open-casket funeral.
