Steampunk Cosplay Girls

The only criticism I have is that the third ones expression is a bit dead.
Other than that they're fantastic - I wonder if they made or bought most there stuff hmmmmm... (In case you're wondering why, I'm considering doing some steampunk costumes, but the gear is really expensive and I like to make my own stuff)
You can get a lot on etsy! Not sure how expensive it is there, though.
Hmm, ranges from pretty cheap to a helluva lot - still wanna make it myself, then I can make it and sell it to people for a lot of money too!
Ohh I see, have you checked out craftster.org?
I have now! XDXD I'm part of a UK cosplay site, so I get a lot of information on how to make stuff there :P
Plus, just discovered polymorph... Totally gonna use that to make loads of awesome steampunk accessories!
Craftster is the best for inspiration and ideas, and sometimes there are even tutorials!
Ohh btw, my Dutch friend says hi back!! And while we were on skype, I sent her the Adele video from it'sjustlia (because she loves Adele), and she immediately saw your comment on youtube and went "Hey!! Her name is Nixiethepixie!!" :')
Just don't Grammar Nazi my intentional mistakes or the English spellings of things.
I.E. 99.9% of the time, when I put an 's' or 'z' on the end of the word, it's intentional.
I have had my English corrected on more than one occasion with the American equivalent of the word.
One more thing. Enlighten me on steampunk or cosplay?Either or will do seeing as I regrettably have no knowledge of either...
Steampunk is Victorian-esque clothing, with a technological and explorer vibe to it, like you see above. It's not correct to the time, of course, but it's pretty cool - and expensive.
It's sort of like the Fantasy games which mixes the past and present, like Final Fantasy IX.
Cosplay is a huge umbrella for all of it. Steampunk is a type of cosplay. It stands for "Costume Play" (yes, it did start in Japan, and it's what they call it).
However, in the West we pretty much specifically use 'cosplay' to describe a particular character costume rather than all of it. We separate Cosplay and Steampunk. And it can be any character; comic book, video game, anime, cartoon, film, tv drama, whatever. In the West, Comic Book and Game are the most category cosplayed, followed by anime. Film and tv dramas are generally avoided as they're more difficult to pull off - you have to look similar to the actor. However, certain characters from films have such outlandish outfits that you don't need to look like the actor to pull it off.
Speaking of Final Fantasy, Look at what I got at GameStop friday for $8!Total mis-price because it wasn't even opened yet.And yes I'm a Final Fantasy freak. So Final Fantasy costumes count as Cosplay? OMG I want one!
Final Fantasy is one of the biggest cosplayed series. I've been WallMarket/Femme Cloud (the Don Kanoji bit from FFVII), Cosmos from Final Fantasy Dissidia and Quina Quen from 9. We were a group ;p
Exactly, what did you get from GameStop?
Sorry I've been Messing up links a lot lately. http://www.amazon.com/Final-Fantasy-Collectors-Edition-Playstation-2/dp/B000LOAQNQ/ref=sr11?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1336416704&sr=1-1
I've got the tome version of the Guide Book for that game.
Even though I don't play it much, I will never sell it - it's far too pretty.
I'm like that with most FFs. I don't really like the game play - I'm not one for turn based systems - but they're mine and you can't have them because they're pretty.
Lol I like FFXII because the battles aren't really turn based and you can still run around and stuff.
I didn't like 12 much... I hated Vaan and Penelo as characters, so... yeah. I'm giving 13 a try now though.
I agree actually. Penolo is to slow and not very strong. Are they the only two that we get? I know that there are like 15 or so espers but eh. I know FFXIII was actually very cool but a let down on the story and you could only move basically on set paths and the battles were TO turn based and way to complicated.Cosplay sounds awesome do you know of any websites i can get anything FF off of?
FFXII characters; Vaan, Penelo, Fran, Balthier, Basch and Ashe. I liked Fran, Balthier and Basch, the others... meh.
Do you mean, good artwork to base them off? Or good cosplay sites to buy them from?
Ebay is pretty good for cosplays; it's a lot better quality than it was. Another site which I've heard good things from is; http://www.cosplaytree.com
Most cosplay sites now offer a service where you can go "can you make this for me" and they'll give you a quote for it.
Avoid Hello Cosplay and Cosplay Magic at all costs.
TO avoid Hello Cosplay and Cosplay Magic? Stupidly high prices, high shipping costs, low quality and really unreliable.
As to characters; Vaan was just irritating, Penelo was pathetic, I didn't like Ashe's character. Balthier is Captain Jack Sparrow's and James Bond's love child, Fran was... Just Fran and Basch... Basch was awesome too. He had a better story behind him than dumb and dumber combined, anyway.
I love the way that you described Balthier. That was like awesome!Wow...You weren't kidding,Cosplay stuff really is extremely pricey.Especially the FF stuff.
It's because a lot of FF stuff is leather, and anything remotely leather like is pricey.
And thank you. I have yet to meet someone who does not agree that he's the perfect combination of the two.
Now I honestly can't wait to get off work and go home lol! 7 more hours...
The 3rd one looks like one of those creepy realdolls that ultra-forever alone guys buy. Too much photoshop and too little lack of expression.
Kristen Stewart's got some competition!
She's done that thing where (new/inexperienced) models think they're bringing a lot of intensity in their face, when actually they're just bringing it to their lips - notice how they're rather tense/pouty
She wants so desperately to do the duckface... it's taking all she's got to hold it back.
Just came across this post and comment, she's a famous German model. She makes all her hair pieces and a lot of her outfits.
Her dA- http://ophelia-overdose.deviantart.com/
She's also the same girl in the last picture.
The 3rd girl?
Well, her expression is still life-less XD But her outfits are amazing XD
A lot of people say that to her in critiques. Her earliest cyberpunk goth stuff had the most expression, I think.
Also- I notice you talk about cosplay a lot. Do you have a dA? o:
I do, but I've not posted any cosplay related photos up. www.ThePixieNixie.deviantart.com is who I am on there, but I'm not very active. I normally just post on Facebook, but I really should start posting on Deviantart
In fact, I'll stick some I have on there now :p
Hahaha with what, the picture? The girls? Their boobies? All of the above?
I like classy girls. For some reason, these girls look classy to me. Nothing is a bigger turn off then some bimbo shaking her ass at a camera.
Yeah, I view steampunk as classy too - I think it's cause it from an era where classiness was really really important.
Corsets are amazing when they're not overtight.
I think so, too. It's because the style accentuates a woman's natural femininity (say that 5 times fast!) without being vulgar.
Can I do it while juggling 3 balls and standing on one leg?
You can tell when I'm having a slow day at work and I'm bored.
Ik ben niet blij mee. Ook, ik spreek geen Nederlands.
Ik ook niet. Gewoon een beetje... haha :D Here's your beer, it's my favorite from our town's best brewery.
Volgens Google vertaal je spreekt behoorlijk goed Nederlands. At least you have been. That first sentence you threw out there was sloppy. Took me and Google a lot of revision to figure out what it was.
Hahahaha the first one wasn't Dutch! That was my "German accent speaking English"... I'm surprised you found anything at all! I have a Dutch friend, she's been teaching me some Dutch. And it's very similar to German!
'cuz you guys (you) are crazy. Also because I couldn't get it to work. Also because I'm at work.
Nixie and I have thoroughly calmed down since the first evening! Wellll that sucks. Go home now so you can join the chat!
You are awfully demanding. I require German beer first. Then I will think about it.
That's not how this works. Doggy treat now. Trick later.
Hahahaha we're both too stubborn, this isn't going anywhere. Here.
Thank you. You can call my secretary and set up an appointment to have your request put on my to-consider-at-a-later-date list.
I'll send her an email, calling would be too expensive.
also cuz u guys spelt lolbrary incorrectly. PHAILZOR
Gorgeous girls, but not cosplay. Just paid models. They're from a photographers fashion page.
Still trying to track down the original photographers site, but this one has them as well... http://www.frunkey.com/hot-girls/sexy-steampunk-girls/
you can find alot of the girls above on model mayhem's site also... http://www.modelmayhem.com/list/494903
God bless teh interwebz!
last one is the hottest. I'd fuck that like it was 1969.
How are these chicks attractive to you...?
Third one down's eyebrows infuriate me.
