I have an app on my droid that does this too... pisses me the dick off.. i get it right and go back to sleep cause i feel like i accomplished something

Get "Gentle Alarm" and download some of the sound packs (rather than the default 'buzzer').

It's more like being gently rocked awake, as opposed to most alarm clocks which are the equivalent to being punched in the face to wake up.

You are correct of course. 13+21=34. I don't recall if I thought the series followed different rules or if I'm just that bad at addition. It would have been funnier if I was correct though.

This specifically would piss me off because of the multiple correct answers. You could add the last and current items in the sequence to get the next one, as is depicted, getting 34... or you find the sequence of the added integers - 2, 3, 5, 8 - the next one being 12, and add to the last item, giving you 33. If I woke up to this, and wasn't given the option of choosing multiple answers, I would kill everything.

This is plainly the Fibonacci sequence, being 0 1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 ...

Defined as a series, the Fibonacci sequence goes like this: f(1)=0; f(2)=1; f(n) = f(n-1)+f(n-2), where n>2; So...it really does make sense.
