Never thought about it that way.

dislike because its anime...
Anime can be freaking awesome. All depends on what you watch. Try out some Hayao Miyazaki: Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke. Not your typical anime--and amazing stories.
Then shush. Do not judge what you do not know.
(yes, that means I have read Twilight... Waste of my life...)
so everybody dislikes my comments because i hate anime, that makes alot of sense, im a adult id rather not watch a show that will make me want to go beat my head into a wall
Okay, anime isn't like "yaaay, lets go dance and do awesome stuff and be all girly woo!" stuff. It can be really nasty and really emotional. It's not just for kids.
Yeah, you get some which is about a group of girls forming a band, but also about some really really dark things. Try Grave of the Fire Flies
the reason i wont watch anime is because my last 3 ex GF's it's all they talk about, its all my brother talks about, so therefore I HATE IT
Still a bit sad though, that you hate it because of someone else talking too much about it. I'm not saying to you should go watch it and that you must like it, I just don't agree with people hating it without actually knowing it.
And especially since anime just mean animation - there are the same amount of genres of anime as there are of tv dramas, and of films.
ive seen one episode it literally bored me to sleep so ill stick to watching family guy :D
What was it - I've seen some exceptionally rubbish anime in my time so try not to judge it all on one episode of one anime, again there are lots and lots of types :p
i just hate the animation. it annoys me. so does the voice overs. theres plenty of other good stories out there without having to deal with annoying audio and visuals. i have nothing against it, i just don't like it. its like nails on a chalkboard to me, you don't really choose what annoys you.
Again, it really depends on what you're watching. I wont be the only person who watches anime which says that some of them are really... ARGH! and unwatchable (for me). I mean, I seriously cannot stand Naruto, I read the manga but the anime pisses me off.
Anime is thousands of shows and movies ranging in genre from drama, to thriller, to sci-fi, fantasy, soap opera, sitcom, etc.
The only one who loses out here is the person who turns their back on an entire universe of art because they saw one episode of one show that may have been made for 10 year olds.
ive seen multiple anime's and i didnt like them
I was basing my comment on "ive seen one episode". If you saw more since then, I've no way of knowing, since I'm totally not spying on you at all with tiny cameras inserted into the fake fruits in the fruit bowl. I'm not.
Regardless, saying you don't like anime because you've seen a few and didn't like them is akin to saying "I watched a couple of movies and didn't like them, I don't like movies at all".
The anime that are most popular in the West are shows made for 14 year old boys. That's likely what you saw.
If you want recommendations, I would put forth Grave of the Fireflies, Akira and Armitage III. Amazing films, some of which are more mature in content than Inception.
This is not pressure, this is just suggestion if you decide to try it again. I can hardly be asked to care what a stranger on the internet wants to read, play, hear or watch.
i will look at them but im pretty stuck in my ways of not liking anime's i just prefer my car shows over cartoon type shows
Howl's Moving Castle was freaking amazing! Haven't watched Princess Mononoke yet though... Any idea what the name on his new one coming out is?
Ponyo is the most recent I have not seen. The newest one coming out is "From Up on Poppy Hill" I believe--but don't quote me on that.
Hmmm, Doesn't sound familiar, the one i'm thinking of was just announced. It's about little people living inside peoples walls. Kinda like that old Borrowers movie.
I didn't read this long ass argument between Nixie and pooter but I just wanted to interject:
Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke were both goddamned, manly-tear-worthy fantastic movies.
Yes they are amazing. Howl's Moving Castle is too dude. Can't wait to see the newer ones >_
I haven't seen that one - but it's now on my list, thanks.
Minus many Internets to you sir, many Internets indeed.
Actually, those are pretty typical anime.
To settle the "anime" argument: Grave of the Fireflies. It beats the hell out of any live action film you've seen.
My gosh. It all makes sense now 0_0
Anime is the best form of entertainment for me, better than movies, TV shows or games. I feel sorry for anyway who hasn't experienced it yet.
