Wii graphics are so amazing. I mean the details of Mii's are so astonishingly accurate, it's hard to tell the difference between the real life version!
the Wii wasn't exactly meant to be competing with them...obviously.
Most importantly, there was never a Mass Effect 2 for WII
The thing that the Wii got right though.... We enjoy playing games in the company of others, instead of over the internet. This makes it cost less for us more fiscally challenged users.
Sold my Xbox 360 a year ago and got a Wii. Haven't looked back, so much more fun.
I have a wii, I just have a problem with its game base.
Yea the type of games are a bit lacking imo. At a glance its just all kiddie and family oriented stuff. But thats what its really for i suppose. Its the "party" game
Definently, good for parties and kids under 13
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA... haha... heh. Sorry.
my thoughts exactly XDDD and right now i'm saving up for a ps3 like a boss. Since I know nothing awesome is coming out this year THANKS TO E3 those lazy sluts.
The Last Of Us, Assassin's Creed, Beyond: Two Souls, Dust514. Starhawk came out.
Plenty of great stuff coming for PS3.
well, by this time i was expecting a whole new console, not just games, now i'm just thinking they're going to come out with some freaking kickass games, then come out with a console >.< witch is extremely irritating. i would want them to come out with all those games WITH a new console, to me the games are a given. give me something different, the whole thing with the harry potter book isn't that new, i've seen that done with animals. i'm just a little disappointed with console gaming right now :/ but i know ill never become a pc gamer <.< i'm on the computer enough as it is.
I don't know about Microsoft, but Sony has stated all along that they wanted to make the PS3 last 15 years.
On the other hand, the developers of several major IPs have stated that they can't make sequels to their games on the current systems; among these developers is included 'Naughty Dog', makers of the preeminent Uncharted series.
I have to agree with them that gaming has reached a plateau of advancement with current console tech -- the next Fallout, for instance, will be slightly disappointing if it can't have better AI due to processor limitations, on top of not being bigger, better-looking and smoother.
well i don't really think there is such a thing as a plateau, i think you could reach the sky with possibilities, but im not that much into it. i don't know how it works. but 15 years! holy... well in some ways i'm happy but in other ways im extremely disappointed.
There's no plateau as far as creativity, but at any point in history, people have imagined things that they couldn't implement due to technical restrictions. Cameron waited for years to make Avatar until CGI effects were at this level.
Sometimes these restrictions cause people to get even more creative -- some games are small and excel at being mind-blowingly clever -- others seek to create a vast and complex world for the player to experience, and those games greatly benefit from more powerful computing.
My opinion changes from day to day on whether or not Sony is going to cave in to pressure from developers and competitors and cut their projected cycle short. Today, my opinion is that we'll hear about a new Sony system by 2013.
Anyway, here's the exact wording from Sony:
thanks man! :D
I picked up The Last of Us on Friday, and finished it Sunday night. That was some of the best storytelling I've ever seen in videogames.
It was the swan song of this entire generation.
My expectations for it were very high. My expectations were handily exceeded.
The wii's graphics are like 10 years old...
lack of caps makes me sad.
oh so you use the caps lock button? For shame, when you put something in all caps you have to hold down the shift button like you mean it!
It looks like somebody mixed up the PS3 and X360 shots. The 360 should be the one on the left.
IGN doesnt fuck up shit like that, dont be a hater
PS3 has the advantage in performance over the 360. It's readily available information if you look it up.
It's true, you can tell because the ps3 has more ram to store the added texture detail in the middle one and then the ps3 has a stronger shader processor. They dun did goof up this time.
Funny reading PS3 fanboy messages, you do realise ALL the extra ram the PS3 has is used to read the blu ray disks? nothing is better about the ps3, the extra storage on blu ray disks is repeated detail of the games code so it works. Face it. Ps3 and Xbox aren't better than one another, so get your head out of your asses and learn to play for the games you love, not because you're a little bitch and love shoving your head up the consoles ass while licking cream off it's "dick" tray :)
That wasn't a fanboy message. If you think it was, then you don't know what a fanboy message is.
As a whole, you're right, no console is better than another. but there ARE certain qualities of each that tip the balance for some people.
Me personally, I like the ps3 more because of free online, the bluray, and fucking face it dude, the ps3's better graphics card makes games look better. You're just mad because you don't have a console prolly cuz you didn't give an opinion.
For proof that PS3 outperforms the 360, check out the developer commentary on Portal 2. The developers specifically say they had a hard time getting the flowing gel to work within appropriate framerates on XBox 360.
Honestly PS3 does have better graphics but it is not the graphics that make the game. People who compare graphics is ridiculous. Also who cares, it is the same game. Since this game isn't on the wii it is retarded to compare. Also nintendo has made almost all there games to be family oriented or E for everyone. Saying that, I find a lot of there games enjoyable. My console of choice is nintendo or playstation. I just don't like Xbox but I would play it too cause they have fun games that you can't get on other consoles. Other than that if I can get it on pc I would prefer that because it is just all around better depending on your PC.
missed the point
Graphics are a part of gaming. A small part, but they can improve the experience.
PS3 has the exclusives library to beat. I just can't say that the 360 exclusive library impresses me. Mostly shooters, and Fable has gone downhill.
Sometimes, I don't like to play on PC at all. Like with Skyrim -- the better graphics don't balance out the fact that the mods and the cheating "ruin" the game by taking me out of a state of immersion, especially when I'm fiddling around trying to get the mods to work.
Is it just me or are nintendo continuously developing new consoles half way or something ridiculous like that between the consoles of it's competitors instead of at the same time?
