My apologies, this is due to the new text formatting that is being rolled out for users. Underscores around words turn those words into either italics or bold. If you do not want this to happen (like in your links) you have to "escape" the underscores by placing a "\" before them (this tells the parser to ignore them as "italics/bold indicators".

For example, I've placed underscores around this word, boobies
But I have escaped the underscores around this word _boobies_

I'm working on building the formatting page that will explain all the new text formatting rules today.
