Being Blind

this is pretty stupid... im blind in one eye... its not black... its grey...
Whoa, I didn't know that. Is it grey for everyone who is blind or just some people. Did something happen to you pooter or were you blind in that eye from birth?
i was shot with a bb gun, and my friend who was in a motor cycle accident is blind in his left eye and he see's orange, but doctors say i should recover my vision in my eye soon
Wow, that's actually really interesting. I never thought about it--it'd be bizarre to see orange all the time.
So you don't think the fact that you see grey and your friend sees orange might mean that some people see black?
some people do but this picture if false and its kind of annoying
Today I learned. Thanks safepooter, and I hope you "see" a full recovery :-)
the doctor said i should have my vision in my eye back in a few months
I'm glad to hear it. You should focus on developing daredevil like superpowers for the next few months with your temporary blindness.
but i can already take a baseball bat being broke against my head and not even flitch...
Well then uhh.... learn to play guitar for the ladies?
guitar is boring i play the bass guitar lol
I like to think that guitar slightly helped me get my girl :-)
I'll tell you what would really drop panties for you though is violin.
see i thought it was only gay if you made eye contact....
Really? They must have updated it. I need to consult the bro-code diagnostics 2012 manual. I'm still using the 2010 edition.
I read that as, "Did something happen to your pooter, or were you blind in that eye from birth?" And I was like, what does his pooter have to do with his eye? His BROWN eye? Ha ha ha!
And then I re-read the comment and I was a little disappointed.
Really? Im blind in my right eye from a childhood accident and i cant see a thing out of it. Honestly its like i am a cyclops, i can only see out of my right eye. I dont see any colors or anything at all, not even black. Its like i was born with one eye
So, how do you judge distance? I mean, I know that's a weird question, but one of the brain's tricks for judging distance is comparing the two different "feeds" it's receiving--the bigger the difference, the closer the object is.
Actually its not a weird question. But i wouldn't know the answer because the accident happened before i had the ability of memory. So when people ussualy ask me questions like that, i really can't answer them. But i think my brain has learned to adapt with one sight
I've read that people with only one eye learn to adapt--their brains learn to create the binocular effect when they turn their heads or move a little, since their eye ends up in a different position. Don't know if it's true, but it makes sense to me! I used to have a friend who was blind in one eye and she never had any trouble.
Actually, now that i think of it, my head does sometimes pan to the right a bit, especially when i play soccer
If you're born blind, completely blind or have lost your eyes it's black as your eyes aren't taking in any light whatsoever. Your eye is still taking in some light, so the greyness is the cause of that.
Though it's great you'll be getting your vision back ^__^
Really? I took a shard of glass straight into the eye,
I'm blind in both eyes and wpp ud dsf nsdibufv sddfnsdi :(
You can still type without seeing the keys. Those bumps on the [F], [J], and [5] keys are there for a reason.
blind people will never get this
Hey I'm blind. And when I saw this I was offended! :p
