She might not have known he was sterile. Just because she had some other dude's kids doesn't mean she would have known that he wasn't sterile. Maybe they used birth control and it always worked for the husband but there were "accidents" with the other guy.
So this proves 2 things: A) All women are whores. B) All German men are sterile.
