Umm... only half are named after women. It alternates genders with each letter of the alphabet. The ones everyone remembers now are Katrina and Rita, but before them was Andrew, Mitch, and Floyd.

Just sayin'.

Hurricanes CAN spawn tornadoes, but mostly just waterspouts.
